Who we are
Ovokai is an AI tool for creating social media carousels. This policy explains what data we collect when you use it, why we collect it, and who processes it on our behalf.
We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at hello@ovokai.com for any question about it, or to exercise any of the rights set out below.
Data we collect
We collect only what the product needs in order to work.
- Account data: your email address and authentication identifiers, created when you sign up.
- Content you provide: prompts, URLs you ask us to read, pasted text, brand kit details such as colours and logos, and the carousels generated from them.
- Billing data: your subscription tier, credit balance, and transaction history. Card details are handled entirely by our payment provider and never reach our servers.
- Usage data: aggregate page and performance analytics, which we use to find slow or broken pages.
How we use your data
- To create your account, sign you in, and keep your session secure.
- To generate, store, edit, and export your carousels.
- To track credit balances and apply the entitlements of your plan.
- To respond to support requests you send us.
- To detect abuse and keep the service available.
AI processing
When you generate a carousel, the prompt, any URL content you asked us to read, and your brand kit details are sent to our AI model providers so they can return slide content. We send only what is needed to produce the result you requested.
AI output can be inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing what you publish. We do not present generated text or images as verified fact.
Processors we rely on
We share data with a small number of providers who process it strictly on our instructions.
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage for your account, brand kits, and carousels.
- Anthropic and Google — AI model providers that generate slide content from your prompts.
- Lemon Squeezy — merchant of record for subscriptions and one-off credit purchases, including all card handling and invoicing.
- Vercel — hosting, plus aggregate traffic and performance analytics.
Retention
We keep your account data and carousels for as long as your account exists. When you delete a carousel it is removed from your library; when you delete your account we remove your account data and associated content.
We may retain limited billing records for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where required, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change significantly affects you, notify you by email.
